Your Account Health, displayed in the top right corner of the Options page, is an estimated value of how risky your portfolio is. Once certain risk thresholds are crossed, the account will be taken over by the Auto-Deleveraging System, or undergo Liquidation.
How is Account Health calculated?
Account health is displayed as a percentage value between 0 and 100. The formula used for calculating account health is as follows:
Health = Available/Assets * 100
where
Assets = Spot assets and pending settlements
Available = Assets + Unrealized - Margin
What are the Account Health states & thresholds?
State |
Threshold |
Description |
---|---|---|
Healthy | >25% | Account is not at risk |
At Risk | 25% | Account is at risk and goes into reduce-only mode. Orders that increase maintenance margin are not allowed. Withdrawals disabled. |
Auto-Deleverage | 5% | Auto-hedger takes over the account and attempts to close positions or delta hedge until the account goes below the threshold. |
Instant Liquidation | 0% | Assets are liquidated at Market Price until the account goes below the threshold. |
Bankrupt | 0% | Account is bankrupt. |
How can I avoid being Deleveraged?
If your Account Health number is getting low, depositing more assets is the fastest way to avoid having your account deleveraged.
