How to Copy Trade on BitMEX

Before You Start:

  • Ensure you have a verified BitMEX account.
  • Make sure you have funds in your main BitMEX account to commit to Copy Trading.

Step-by-Step Guide to Copy Trading:

1. Choose Your Copy Leader:

  • Navigate to the Copy Trading Marketplace on BitMEX.
  • Browse available Copy Leaders.
  • View each Copy Leader’s transparent metrics, such as Winning Trade Ratio, Profit Sharing Ratio, and historical performance, to make an informed decision.

2. Set Up Copy Parameters:

  • Click the ‘Copy’ button next to your chosen Copy Leader.
  • Input the amount of trading balance you’d like to commit to copying them.
  • We highly recommend setting your own risk parameters such as Stop Loss and Take Profit to control your trading capital.

*Note: Funds will be transferred into your Copy Trading account automatically; no manual transfer is needed from your main account.

3. Start Copying Trades:

  • Once activated, you will automatically copy the Copy Leader’s current open positions at the time of activation, if they have any, as well as any subsequent trades they make.
  • The Copy Leader will then manage the trades on your behalf.

4. Monitor Performance:

  • BitMEX provides an interface to monitor your copied trades' performance within your Copy Trading account.

Important Notes for Copiers:

  • Profit Sharing: Remember that Copy Leaders may charge a profit-sharing fee on profits generated from your copied trades.
  • Diversification: You can mirror multiple Copy Leaders simultaneously to diversify your portfolio strategies.
  • Risk: All trading, including Copy Trading, involves significant risk, and you can lose capital. Only commit funds you can afford to lose.
