Verification can be unsuccessful for several reasons. Please review the following common issues to help ensure a quick and successful resubmission (note this is a non-exhaustive list):
Duplicate Account Detected: The system may reject applications where a verified account is already associated with the applicant. BitMEX only allows one account per customer.
Facial Recognition Fails: Ensure your face is centered correctly in the frame.
Document Clarity Fails: The ID or Proof of Address (PoA) is not clear or fully visible. Ensure there is no overexposure, reflection, or glare, and that all four edges of the document are visible.
Unacceptable Document Type: Screenshots, scan copies, or photocopies are not accepted. Please upload a clear copy of the original document and resubmit.
Invalid or Unsupported Document: The document provided may be invalid, expired, or unsupported. Please resubmit your documents in accordance with the Acceptable Proof of Address (POA) or Identity Document guidance.
Terms of Service Violation: The profile or provided information violates the BitMEX Terms of Service (e.g., being under the age of 18 or identified as being from a location prohibited by our Terms of Service and Restricted Jurisdiction Policy.

HDR wholly owns BitMEX, a Bitcoin-based trading platform.
Access to trading or holding positions on BitMEX is prohibited for any person or entity that is located, incorporated or otherwise established in, or a citizen or a resident of: (i) the United States of America, Québec (Canada), the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Seychelles, Bermuda, Cuba, Crimea and Sevastopol, Iran, Syria, North Korea or Sudan; (ii) any state, country or other jurisdiction that is embargoed by the United States of America; or (iii) any other jurisdiction where the services offered by BitMEX are restricted (collectively “Restricted Jurisdictions”). If it is determined that any BitMEX user has given false representations as to their location, incorporation, establishment, citizenship or residence, or HDR detects a user is from a Restricted Jurisdiction as described above, HDR reserves the right to immediately close their accounts and liquidate any open positions. HDR may, in its sole discretion, implement controls to restrict access to the BitMEX trading platform in any of the Restricted Jurisdictions.
