You're charged a Trading Fee on every completed trade. The chart below details the types of fees, requirements to qualify for it, amounts, and where you can see your Fees Paid. For more information, please view the Fees page.
Trading Fee Type | Description | How to Obtain It | Fee Amount | Where to Check Fees Paid |
---|---|---|---|---|
Maker Fee/Rebate |
Maker rebate is a fee you receive when you place passive orders that provide liquidity. This means that the orders don't immediately fill as they hit the orderbook, but rest in there instead. There is no time requirement for how long it needs to rest. |
Potential passive order types are Limit, Stop Limit, and Take Profit Limit orders. It is possible for these order types to fill immediately if your Limit Price for a Buy Order is above the current best Sell Price or below the current best Buy Price for Sell Order. If your Limit order fills immediately, you will be charged a Taker Fee as you have not provided liquidity. To guarantee that you get the Maker Fee with Limit Orders, you can check the Post-Only checkbox in the Place Order widget. With this enabled, your order will execute if it won't fill immediately or it will get cancelled. |

Funding Payment |
Funding is a periodic payment on the Perpetual Contracts (such as XBTUSD) used to tether contracts to their underlying spot price. For more details on Funding and to see how it's calculated, have a look at Perpetual Contracts Guide: Funding. |
If you have an open position on a Perpetual Contract when Funding occurs (every 8 hours at 04:00 UTC, 12:00 UTC and 20:00 UTC), you will pay or receive funding. |
The Funding Payment depends on the current Funding Rate and your position value. You can refer to the Funding History Table to see the historic Funding Rate values. For future ones, have a look at the Funding Rate and Predicted Rate on the Contract Specification page or the Contract Details widget on the left side of the Trade page: |
You can see all the Funding Payments you have paid/received in your Trade History. Funding Payments will have Funding as Text and Exec Type. You can also filter your search with {"text":"Funding"} to just get Funding Payments: On the Transaction History page, these Funding Payments will show up as Realised PNL and the amount is added to or subtracted from your Wallet Balance. |
