You're charged a Trading Fee on every completed trade. The chart below details the types of fees, requirements to qualify for it, amounts, and where you can see your Fees Paid. For more information, please view the Fees page.
Trading Fee Type | Definition | Eligible Order Types | Important Exception | Guaranteeing Fee | Fee Amount | Where to Check Fees Paid |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Maker Fee/Rebate |
A rebate you receive for placing passive orders that add liquidity (not filled immediately). These "make" the market by resting in the orderbook. Has no minimum rest time requirement |
Limit, Stop Limit, and Take Profit Limit orders (if they don't execute instantly). |
Aggressive orders (e.g., buy order above the lowest ask) execute immediately and incur a Taker Fee (you're taking liquidity). |
Use the "Post-Only" checkbox. If the order would fill immediately, it's canceled. |
Varies based on your 30-Day Rolling Average Daily Volume (ADV) and BMEX tokens staked. See the Fees page for your specific rates. |
The Fee Rate and Fee Paid for your orders can be found on the Trade History page:
|
Taker Fee |
A fee you are charged when your order removes liquidity by executing immediately against existing orders |
Automatically applied to aggressive orders. (e.g., Market orders, Limit orders with a limit price at the market). | Varies based on your 30-Day Rolling Average Daily Volume (ADV) and BMEX tokens staked. See the Fees page for your specific rates. |
The Fee Rate and Fee Paid for your orders can be found on the Trade History page: If the percentage is positive, you paid the Taker Fee.

Funding Payment |
Periodic payments on Perpetual Contracts (like XBTUSD) to keep their price aligned with the underlying spot price. For more details on Funding and to see how it's calculated, have a look at Perpetual Contracts Guide: Funding. |
If you have an open position on a Perpetual Contract when Funding occurs (every 8 hours at 04:00 UTC, 12:00 UTC and 20:00 UTC), you will pay or receive funding. |
Depends on the current Funding Rate and your position value.
You can refer to the Funding History Table to see the historic Funding Rate values. For future ones, have a look at the Funding Rate and Predicted Rate on the Contract Specification page or the Contract Details widget on the left side of the Trade page: |
You can see all the Funding Payments you have paid/received in your Trade History. Funding Payments will have Funding as Text and Exec Type. You can filter your search with {"text":"Funding"} to just get Funding Payments:
