Reverse Copy Trading is an advanced BitMEX feature that automatically opens positions in the opposite direction of a chosen Copy Leader’s trades, allowing you to take a contrarian stance. While standard copy trading mirrors a leader’s moves exactly, Reverse Trading lets you:
Go contrarian. If you believe a leader’s trade will move in the opposite direction of their intent, you can automatically place a trade against them.
Leverage your own insights. Act on your distinct market view, even when it differs from the Copy Leader’s.
How does Reverse Copy Trading work?
When setting up your copy trade, you choose between two modes:
Copy – mirrors the Copy Leader’s exact trades (e.g. if they go long, you go long)
Reverse Copy – automatically takes the opposite position (e.g. if they go long, you go short)
