Whether you can cancel a withdrawal request depends entirely on its current status.
To determine if cancellation is possible, log in to your account and navigate to your Transaction History page to check the status of your request. See Where is my withdrawal? for more details on this, then follow the guidelines below:
How to Cancel Based on Withdrawal Status
Status: Pending
- Action: Click View Withdrawal in your verification email. On the withdrawal review page, simply choose not to confirm the withdrawal. Because the transaction has not yet been verified by you, no funds have moved and the withdrawal will not proceed.
Status: Confirmed
- Action: Click Cancel this withdrawal in the secondary confirmation email you received. Because BitMEX has not yet begun processing the transaction, the withdrawal can still be easily reversed at this stage by following the email link.
Status: Processing
- Action: Contact Support immediately. At this stage, BitMEX is preparing the transaction for broadcast. Cancellation is not guaranteed, but our support team will advise whether the withdrawal can still be manually stopped. Submit an urgent ticket at support.bitmex.com.
Status: Completed
- Action: Cannot be cancelled. The transaction has already been broadcasted to the blockchain network
Once a transaction is submitted on-chain, neither BitMEX nor any other party can reverse or recover it.
